Surya adheres to traditional practices and century's old formula to produce the finest quality Masala and Darbari hand rolled incense. Surya Incense is a natural blend of Ayurvedic herbs and aromatic botanical extracts. In India, hand rolled incense production is a cottage industry. The process begins by blending Essential Oils, which may include: Agar, Champa, Heena, Jasmine, Kadamba, Kewara, Khus, Marigold, Mitti, Motia, Moulsari, Patchouli, Rose, and Sandalwood oil and combining Spices, such as Cardamon, Cinnamon, Nutmeg, Cloves, and Vanilla with Gums and Resins, using pure honey, jaggery, ghee, Camphor, Corta, Silras, Benzoin, Kuppuni, and Halmandi. These ingredients are kneaded into a sticky dough-like mixture then rolled by hand onto an 8 inch bamboo stick.
